Shaanxi Hongtai Yuanhe Orders 15 Thixomolding Machines
Bole Machinery and Shaanxi Hongtai Yuanhe Magnesium signed an equipment procurement contract.
Under the agreement, Shaanxi Hongtai Yuanhe will acquire 15 Bole magnesium Thixomolding machines, ranging from 850 to 3,000 tons.
This acquisition of 15 thixomolding machines will enable the company to overcome challenges in scaling large size magnesium alloy components, improving quality ad increasing the cost competitiveness of its products.
About Bole Machinery
Bole delivered the world's largest magnesium Thixomolding machine with a clamping force of 4,000 tons and 17kg of shot weight.
They also produced 20 inch magnesium rims with a 3,000t machine. A big deal for lowering rolling resistance and improving the range of EVs.

About Shaanxi Hongtai Yuanhe Magnesium
Shaanxi Hongtai Yuanhe has established a 50,000 ton annual magnesium die casting production line, supplying products for applications such as automotive wheels, bicycle wheels and electronics.
UBE Machinery Presents Gigacasting Machine Lineup
UBE Machinery, a leading Japanese manufacturer, has expanded its lineup of large and ultra large die casting machines to meet growing demand for structural components in battery electric vehicle (BEV) production, particularly for Gigacasting equipment.
The company introduced two new models: the UH7300, with a clamping force of 7,300 tons, and the UH4500, with a clamping force of 4,500 tons. Both machine use the two platen architecture.
Combined with the UH9000 (two platen and 9,000 ton clamping force) launched in August 2024, Ube now offers a range of die casting machines from 4,500 to 9,000 tons, addressing diverse customer production needs.
Ube recently delivered a 6,500 ton machine (three platen architecture), to Ryobi Die Castings factory in Kikukawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
The company’s portfolio now includes ultra large die casting machines with clamping forces of 6,500, 7,300, and 9,000 tons.
Meanwhile, Shibaura Machinery, another Japanese manufacturer, announced plans to introduce die casting machines with clamping forces ranging from 6,100 to 12,000 tons, signaling intensifying competition in Japan’s Gigacasting machine market.

New Development in Magnesium Thixomolded CCB
Wuling Industry successfully completed the initial trial production of a magnesium alloy instrument panel cross car beam bracket (CCB) using a Haitian HMG3600 magnesium Thixomolding machine.
The trial product, measuring over 1.5 meters in length with an injection weight exceeding 8kg, results in a finished CCB weighing just 4.6kg. By employing Thixomolding technology, Wuling Industry has significantly enhanced the product’s performance.
The CCB exhibits an optimized microstructure with a dense internal structure, fine, uniform grains and no dendritic formations. Thixomolding also helps reducing shrinkage and gas porosity defects.
Therefore mechanical properties are improved, with tensile strength increased by approximately 10% to 20% compared to traditional processes.
Additionally, the component demonstrates extended fatigue life with significantly improved fatigue resistance and enhanced corrosion resistance, surpassing that of conventional high pressure die casting.

First 5,000 tons aluminum die casting and plastic injection molding integrated machine
Tederic Machinery’s “IKON 500 aluminum-plastic integrated large-scale automotive structural part molding equipment” seamlessly blends aluminum HPDC with precision plastic injection molding on a single platform, this equipment delivers lightweight, high performance structural components with remarkable efficiency.

IKON 500 aluminum plastic integrated machine
The IKON 500 stands out as the first 5,000 tons machine of this kind globally. This streamlined approach shortens production cycles while intelligent controls precisely manage temperature, speed, and pressure, ensuring a high bonding strength at the interface between multiple materials and avoiding material deformation and defects.
The system produces critical components like battery pack frames that balance lightness and strength, body in white brackets that enhance rigidity and crash safety, and chassis parts that simplify design by reducing component count and manufacturing steps.
The aluminum plastic composite structure slashes part weight by 30 to 50% compared to steel. It optimizes material use for greater structural strength, cuts costs by minimizing welding and bolting, and supports complex, integrated designs that traditional methods can’t achieve.
